Welcome friends! Of all the many places that you could be, I’m so glad that you are here! My name is Jordan but you can also get my head to turn by calling me Jordy Jean, Donut Girl, and the classiest name of them all- J Dawg. My life can be pretty random at times but at the end of the day I am always a lover in Christ, daughter, sister, fiancée, friend, Hokie, athlete, goal-setter, DIYer, food scientist, and adventurer.
In 2012 I finished my first marathon and haven’t stopped running since. A few months later, I set a goal that I would follow in my Mom’s footsteps and try to complete a marathon in every state of the good ol’ US of A. How are the donuts thrown into the mix, you might ask? Well, running marathons across the country seemed like the perfect excuse to try as many donut shops as possible so that’s exactly what I’m doing.
While this blog may seem like it’s entirely devoted to running and donut eating, that is far from the case. I run and I eat donuts, yes, but “Donut Stop Running” started out as a little dream that I had to encourage others to push towards their goals, fitness related or not. I think many people forget that we all start somewhere so I am here to tell you that if you want to do it, you can do it! Face your goals head on and DONUT STOP RUNNING towards them until they are accomplished! Through that process you can bet that I will be right here cheering you on.
