The deal

Fun run. Not a race.

Think of it as a long group run with a very specific snack plan. We start together, run together, and eat donuts together. Where you call it is up to you.

Nobody wins

No chip timing, no results, no podium, no medals. The whole group runs a chill 8:30 pace.

Donuts provided

Every stop, on us. Your only job is picking a flavor (or three).

Unofficial

Unsanctioned and unsupported. No permits, road closures, aid stations or sag wagon. Bring your own water and fuel.

25 spots

Small group, good vibes. First come, first glazed.

The goal

26.2 miles. A half dozen donuts.

Run the whole thing and eat a whole donut at every stop. That's the challenge. But every donut stop is a finish line, so go as far as it's fun and call it there.

  1. Mile 7.3 · Daylight Donuts

    Good for you.

Seriously. Seven miles, one climb, one donut. That counts.

  2. Mile 10.4 · Lehi Bakery

    Double glazed.

Ten miles and two donuts deep.

  3. Mile 14.6 · Pinkbox Doughnuts

    Halfway hero.

Past the half marathon mark with three donuts on board.

  4. Mile 17.3 · Lehi Bakery

    Sugar-powered.

Seventeen miles, four donuts, zero regrets (so far).

  5. Mile 21.3 · Lehi Bakery

    Five deep.

Twenty-one miles in. The wall is real, and it's frosted.

  6. Mile 26.2 · Dunkin'

    The half dozen.

All 26.2 miles and six whole donuts. Legend.

Calling it early? There's no sag wagon, so have a ride lined up for wherever you stop, and tell the group you're done so nobody goes looking for you.

The route

Six shops. One big loop.

Lehi → Alpine → Highland → American Fork → Lehi → Saratoga Springs, then a flat cruise up the Jordan River Parkway to the finish. Yes, that's three Lehi Bakeries.

Times assume about 10 minutes per stop. The route is a draft and might wiggle a bit before the big day. Final details go out by email.

FAQ

Good questions.

Is this a race?

Nope. No timing, no results, no prizes. If you want to race, there are plenty of real marathons. This one has donuts.

Do I have to run the whole thing?

The goal is all 26.2 with a whole donut at every stop. But if you only make it to the first stop, good for you. Every donut stop is a finish line. Just have a ride lined up, since there's no sag wagon.

What if 8:30 feels fast?

Hang with the group as long as it feels good, then call it at the next donut stop. The group keeps rolling at 8:30, and wherever you stop still counts.

Do I have to eat a donut at every stop?

A whole one, ideally. That's the challenge. Legally, nobody can make you. Spiritually, yes.

When exactly? Where do I park?

Early March 2027. Everyone who signs up gets the exact date, start time and parking details by email.

Is there support on the course?

No. There are no aid stations, road closures, sag wagon or medical support. Carry what you need, follow traffic laws, and look out for each other. You're running at your own risk.

What will the weather be like?

It's early March in Utah County, so anywhere from 25° and snowing to 60° and sunny. Possibly both. Dress in layers.
